Azerbaijan – Turkey business forum held in Baku
 Azerbaijan – Turkey business forum held in Baku on July, 29 organized by AZPROMO and Undersecreteriat of the Prime Ministry of Turkey for Foreign Trade (DTM).
Business forum brought together about 200 officials and businessmen from agriculture, trade, tourism, food industry, finances, oil and gas, construction, industry and other sectors.
Speaking at the forum Minister Mustafayev stated that Azerbaijan and Turkey reached development in all sectors of economy. He also pointed to the readiness of Azerbaijan to support the participation of Turkish businessmen in most prioritized sectors, be it agricultural production, transportation, refining and storage, information technologies, transit, tourism and others.
-Azerbaijan and Turkey have great transit potential. The construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will expand this cooperation - said Minister during his address to the forum participants.
-It is important to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey to gain positions in the world economy. Now it is right time for this -, Turkish State Foreign Trade Minister Zafer Caglayan said during his opening address.
-Our strength is our unity. I hope that todays business forum will help to expand trade and economic cooperation. We intend to demonstrate the power of Azerbaijan and Turkey in all countries. Businessmen must develop joint activity in third countries together with the implementation of major investment projects, - Turkish State Minister said.
Further business forum continued with presentation of investment climate and business opportunities in Azerbaijan by AZPROMO head Adil Mammadov, who also spoke on the main strategic projects implemented jointly by Azerbaijan and Turkey in the region.
Among other presentations at the forum Executive Director of Azerbaijan Investment Company Afgan Isayev presented information on the company and projects under implementation, representative of Ministry of Economic Development of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Orxan Novruzov spoke on the investment potential of the AR. Further, President of National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Mammad Musayev, Deputy Head of Turkish Exporters Congress Bulent Aymen and Head of Azerbaijan – Turkey Business Council Cengiz Gul spoke on the organizations represented and cooperation opportunities.
During the forum representatives from Azersun Holding and Baku White City presented their potential investment projects. Forum continued with bilateral meetings between the entrepreneurs.
